Astrid Lambert was appointed to the position of CEO of Enterprise Franklin Development Trust, Franklin's lead economic development agency, in June 2004.

Astrid works closely with the Franklin District Council to remove barriers to investment and growth in the Franklin region.

Astrid is a Chartered Marketer from South Africa who has extensive experience in the tourism industry, local government, non-profit sector and has also owned her own small business.

Astrid previously managed some significant projects for the Manukau City Council which included Council's involvement in the development of the TelstraClear Pacific Events Centre, the Manukau Tourism Strategy, the Manukau Town Centres Strategy and the Gateway Heritage Project in Mangere.

She is a Board member of the Auckland Region Economic Development Agencies Association and a strong representative for Franklin in Auckland region initiatives.
